Worth visiting!

Rome - Aventine and Testaccio +

I was just working in Roma for 9 days. I was staying at a great hotel in the Aventine, Domus Aventina. Great people and VERY quiet rooms. Lovely neighborhood for walking.

We often walked down to the Testaccio district to eat. Pirilli’s, Bucatini and for deli, E. Volpeti’s. Pricey, but the guys there are so nice, are such GREAT salesmen that I always bought too much. I will be enjoying an Italian cheese plate from their bounty tomorrow (which they vacume packed for me to come home).

One day I ventured north of the Vatican (first stop on the F3 train… have to remember the stop) and had a tremendous and affordable meal at Nuraghe Sardo, Viale Medaglie d’Oro 50/1 Tel 06.39736584 – a small, Sardinian restaurant. Talk about bounty. I’d go back in a blink and the BEST coffee I had in Roma this trip.
