island changes quite a bit all the time. But if you like a city with a garden, this is the place.
When you’re done with the shopping, the usual sight-seeing (do not miss the Night Safari. The Zoo and the Bird Park are also worth a visit. If you like water very much think of Wild Wild Wet…) and the adventures with the food, take a break at Mount Faber or Fort Canning (it is in the heart of town, at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station). There’s a Muslim Royal tomb, a culinary school, a hotel with spa, a spice garden, an open air theatre (check out the performance schedule), lots of greenery and calm in such a busy and dynamic city.
The Arts and Music scene is up and coming, so there is always something going on. I like to take up a cooking class when I’m there (just a one-day thing), visit a few museums, eat something at Lau Pa Sat…In fact, if you love to eat, you must be ready to go round the island looking for the best stalls, restaurants etc. Also a great way to visit the island, and not just see the tourist areas.
The outer islands can also be interesting, Pulau Hantu is a place to dive in.
www.visitsingapore.com is one portal, maybe a little official but it’s a start.
Hope you’ll have a nice trip.
