Actually I live in Hillsboro. It is a growing community that has seen a dramatic increase in the Hispanic population. I enjoy the diversity, new restaurants and the way it has helped to bring Hillsboro alive. The city has recently completed a center city renovation with a new municipal building with a large plaza that is the weekly site for the local farmers market. Just a mile down the road from me is Orenco Station, voted last year as the best new development in the country. http://www.orencostation.net/news-and-events.aspx

If your looking for a quieter and smaller community there are several in the area to the south of Hillsboro such as Yamhill, Carlton, Sherwood, Dundee and Lafayette. I think Lafayette is my favorite.
