The backlot tour has changed...

The town square and clock tower are now used for the show Ghost Whisperer, so for now everything is different. The facade of the antique store is to the right of the building that used to be the clock tower, and out front in the courtyard is a War memorial that was featured in an episode about a soldier from Vietnam that wasn’t aware he was dead.

Another thing that has changed, and you probably knew this because it wasn’t mentioned above… a few years ago, if you took the “Special Effects” tour, you could volunteer your friend to play the part of Doc for a special effect demonstration. “Doc” got “electrocuted” while trying to connect the wires so Marty could go back in time. Twice I successfully volunteered my friends for the Back to the Future effect! It has been replaced by a Mummy special effect though.

You can still see the prop that says “Lyon Estates” while driving around on the tour.
