In particular, I want to walk and see castles in the U.K. Anyone have recommendations for a walking tour where I can see castles?

The walk around York is quite touristy, but not too bad.

castles in kent & East Sussex

I don’t know of any walking tours but there are lots of wonderful castles in Kent http://www.touruk.co.uk/castles/castles_in_kent.htm

and mustn’t forget the wonderful Bodiam Castle in East Sussex http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/places/bodiamcastle/
