Great town! by newberngirl

I went here with a friend years ago and he lived in Richmond so he was my “tour guide”.

I am from coastal NC so the hills and mountains were so beautiful to me.

The winding road to Monticello and the VIEW from there…took my breath away!

The town was so great. I think we ate at a place called the Hardware store.

It was so yummy and fun.

I loved the whole vibe of that district.

Can’t wait to go back.

Sadly...

Sadly, the Hardware Store is now closed. They used to have the best crepes. However, now there’s a crepe stand on Water Street that I’m told is quite good (still haven’t stopped by… too many good places to eat here to keep up).

Anyway, there is a sign on the door that indicates maybe a developer is going to put new shops in. Let’s hope for some new great eateries and other shops.
