is this the same place as the chinese gardens in singapore? i loved them, they were so deserted but i couldn’t understand why, it was such an oasis, like central park is here only without the people!

It’s not the same, Cranberrygoddess. Chinese Gardens is in the west part of Singapore. That place has been around for a long time, esp popular in the 70s. It’s too far(according to the locals) from the central, that’s why not many ppl like to go there, perhaps only during festive season like Mooncake Festival.
Botanic garden is more like a central park here, it’s closer to the town area(our local version of downtown).
I couldn’t agree more with Mohanm, it’s truly a wonderful place to hang out. There are also frequent weekend outdoor concert as well :)

no its diff...
Its much larger, with a variety of environments like the rainforest….etc
there are people around but there are loads of places where you will get your own private green!
...and unlike central park…safe at any time! :)
