Osoyoos

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 2 years ago

My favorite stop across the border from Washington. Excellent restaurants, scenic, and friendly town overall.

I'm taking notes

I was in Seattle in the Spring, then drove to Vancouver, B.C. for a psychotherapy conference. Had a lovely time, but would have made good use of some of your recommendations if I’d known about this site.

Thanks for your cheers: English National Opera and Santa Fe Opera. Do you have an especial interest in opera? It’s my lifelong passion. I sing occasionally. Comprimario roles.

I find myself writing long entries. I like your one-liners! I see you expressed interest in the Taj Mahal. I’m gradually writing up my experiences in India back in the 80’s, like my entry on sari-shopping in Lucknow’s Hazratganj district. I’ll write my impressions on the Taj soon. And I plan to visit again early next year.

I also see Quebec City on your list. I did write a silly little story about the Chateau Frontenac, which you will find posted.

I’d appreciate details on Osoyoos. I’m likely to spend more time up that way.

Osoyoos

is very small. One of the places there I liked to go and was very peaceful, was the park. It’s right down by the water and is a great place to feed swans. If you’re heading through town heading east you’ll see this park just before you leave the city limits.

The opera? Hmm. I’ve been to the opera once—it was in Prague. I fell asleep. No, I’m not really an opera person, but I absolutely love Andreas Bocelli and Sarah Brightman—great opera voices in their own right. I’m drawn to their voices because of their versatility.

I do like to write and have written a great deal in the last few years, but 43T has been a good place to just relax and enjoy writing small entries and responses. There are a lot of fun people here, as you can see.

Thanks for your responses.
