Worth visiting!

machine guns sold next to perfume!

An interesting day trip. medieval italy combined with frenzied no tax shopping! machine guns sold with perfume in the same shop. not something you see every day. and for those that think this is a tourist trap, in medieval times it was just as crowded and just as much shopping and business going on as there is now. it was a blast to get the things i had wanted to purchase see incredible views off the mountian and the best part that the flat we had , i woke up to a scenic view of san marino and that is were we went on the last day. i have lots of photos for the lights going on at dusk one by one likes stars falling to the ground and then getting up at 5 and watching the lights go off!

it was incredible

Italy was everything i expected and alot that i wasn’t ready for but it was 12 days of constant adventure.

Was the beer worth drinking?Is it expensive?Are there trains?

The beer is blah! I went with what the Italians do best ,Expresso and wine.
As for expense,we rented 1/2 a duplex for 4 of us and it cost 440$EU in 2006.
You can do it cheaper or more expensive, either way you just have to look. I think next time it will be “couchsurfing”.
as for trains there are no little local trains but the trains that run across italy are very good and on time if not faster than the time table says. We went mostly by bus and car.The buses are highly reliable as well.If you are a bike rider they are VERY courteous.
I almost always stay off the beaten path,
You always see more through the kitchen door. Be prepared for EXACT CHANGE they do NOT like changing large notes to small.
They use coins much more than we do in the states.
It all comes down to planning.
Like the boy scouts say be prepared!
