Edinburgh Ghost Tour

Inside the vaults was the only place on the tour that I got completely creeped out. I was standing toward the back of the crowd – not at the very back, cause you never know who (or what) might sneak up on you – in the last room of the underground vaults. As the tourguide was talking someone stepped in front of me (I’m 5’2” so standing at the back is not conducive to seeing) so my view was cut off. I stood up on my tiptoes and craned my neck to see around the tall person in front of me. When I could see the young, blonde tourguide again her face had transformed into that of an old hag, wrinkled with grey hair. I was surprised and lost my footing. When I looked back again her face had gone back to normal. I was freaked out. I didn’t tell the tourguide what I had seen, I didn’t even tell my boyfriend until we were well on our way back to the hotel.

I got freaked out too~

When I went to Edinburgh in May, we went on the Auld Reekie tour and it freaked me out!! I never behave in the way I behaved that night, hysterical and crying, something poked me in the side, and I saw someone walk by a doorway. I have never been this scared in my life!

jeepers fuck...

I didn’t see anything of that sort… darn! Or perhaps I’m lucky :-) I will do this tour again when I go back with my husband and maybe next time we’ll see something. Although, I’m not sure if I want to.

Nobody with us that night seemed to see or hear anything strange or if they did they didn’t tell me. There was one area when the tour guide was talking and I looked to another vault and it was very dark and I got a strange feeling like something was waiting for us in there but I just chalked it up to being on the tour and a bit superstitious.

In fact, I asked our guide if she personally had ever experienced anything while in the vaults. She said no, but that some other guide friends of hers had and she added that if she ever did experience those things she’d never come back in again!
