Worth visiting!

This is such a cool place

I don’t consider myself particularly gifted in the artistic department, but I have to admit that painting pottery was one of the funnest experiences I’ve had with arts & crafts in a long time. The place has an enormous selection of pieces to choose from ranging from purely decorative items to useful kitchen dishware, platters, cups, vases, and a myriad other things. After the piece is selected you pick your colors from hundreds of different hues & tones, then creativity and child-like fun takes over and the next thing you know 3 hours have elapsed.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, coming by every so often to check on us and with constructive comments & feedback. Losing track of time as occurred with me can prove costly since the fees are charged on an hourly basis. They charge $7 per person per hour, or a $10 per hour fee for duos. The piece is charged separately so before you know it you could end up spending a little fortune. But a watchful eye on the clock will allow you to enjoy this great place without breaking the bank. When I was there, they were offering Tuesdays at half price, but I don’t know if it’s an ongoing promotion.

The pieces are fired up at night and are available for pick-up 48 hours later. Mine came out amazingly good. This is a great weekend afternoon plan, and I’m sure kids would have a blast. The cafe next door is pretty good, and you can also do mosaics, if that’s your cup of tea.

Aren't you going

to show us the piece you painted? :o)

This sounds like a lot of fun! They make really meaningful gifts, too. For my 18th birthday, my aunt painted a huge coffee mug for me, bright yellow and blue with a big “18” and the words “nicest niece” (her pet name for me). I still have it and still smile every time I use it, long after I’ve forgotten all the more lavish gifts.

Oh I wish I could show it to you guys!

bragging aside it came out really well, but it was a gift for L since we went together (back in Dec 05). I’ll check my pictures to see if she ever sent me a picture of it to post here.

Funny how that works… price usually has very little to do with the intrinsic value of a gift, contrary to popular belief.

This gives me an idea… hmmmmm :)
