I lived in Cairns Far North Queensland for 3 years and managed to travel as far north as Cooktown and also down south to Mission Beach during this time.
This area is very lush /green and beautiful.

Places of interest: Anywhere on the Great Barrier Reef /Paranella Park (very romantic spot)Highly Recommended and Mission Beach is worth a visit if you have time
