My pal Bob took me to dinner here the last time I was in NYC. It’s his favorite neighborhood restaurant currently and I have to agree with him. Alta serves tapas or small plates of Spanish style shareable food. We had a bottle of chilled cava (it was 90F out that day) and made it out for under $100 with tip. So, it’s moderately priced for NYC and yet the food was exceptional. It has good decor, but you could show up casual and not feel out of place.
