Bizarre Scandinavian-themed town in the middle of the Santa Barbara wine country. Last time we went there, the town was full of people with greyhounds. It’s that kind of place. A greyhound kind of place.

Did you make it around the corner to Mission La Purisima Concepcion, in the midst of Santa Ynez Valley vineyards, just outside Lompoc? My favorite of the California missions. Next time you want to flee Scandinavian kitsch, you might consider the mission.
