besides the fact that it’s interesting & beautiful, i have very personal reasons why i want to go to chile. i have a very close friend who is chilean & would love to see where she came from & see the places she’s told me about. i had another very close chilean friend who died suddenly years ago & i know her mom would like to meet me. she is very old now & i’m not sure how long she will be around. this friend had spoken to her of me when she visited chile after immigrating to canada & being away from family for 7 years. it was a huge loss for me. we had a rare connection & i feel connected to whatever she was/is connected to.

plus…i speak spanish like a chilean since i mostly learned through speaking with these two friends.
