Worcester

Not worth it!

Worcester's supposed to have changed a lot...  — 2 years ago

When I was at school in the 1990s, I knew some people from Worcester who hated their hometown with a passion – had horror stories about bullets whizzing around their backyard laundry lines and so on. I had mostly been through there thanks to Peter Pan (and that is one bus station I hope I never have to visit again).

Now it’s been a while, and some of my old college friends have bought lovely houses in town, and tell me the town is experiencing a resurgence. I want to give the place the benefit of the doubt, but we’ll still be checking it out in daylight first.

it SO matters what neighborhood you’re in. Some are really sketchy, but some are gorgeous, you’d never know you were in Worcester. The bus station is no indication of the rest of the city. Give your friends a try.

gamine humming the songs from "footlight parade" has gotten 1 cheer on this entry.
