My Father grew up in NM, up in the beautiful NW part of the state. I’ve only been through it a few times— but with the exception of Albuquerque (which is just not very interesting), it’s definitely worth a look.

The painted desert and high country (Santa Fe & NW) is just plain gorgeous.
