Why I want to go to this place

India has always fascinated me. I love how spiritual it seems and I would love to go and see the taj mahal and the ganges. India seems like a nice place to visit just because it seems more “unusual” than they typical european vacation that most people seem to take.

The only thing that makes me hesitate when I think of this trip is the stories I’ve heard and read about in travelouges about how blonde-haired blue eyed women are sometimes treated by men in that country. I don’t know how bad it is, or if there is even any merit to those claims but I know that just from what i have heard I don’t think I would feel comfortable travelling alone to India.

It would be best to travel with a male or another female friend.Most people want to talk and you end up making so many friends.The general opinion is that Foreign women are “loose”.But once people know they cannot get anywhere on those terms then its okay.Like always watch out !!
Also look out for tours,they work out cheaper and more extensive than planning it by yourself.

Thats really good advice! I never thought about going on a tour before, I had always thought that it would have to be just me. I probably will go on a tour, I think that would be better and I would like to have someone else organize everything – someone who knows what’s important to see.
