Question: suggestions for a restaurant  — 2 years ago

i am trying to find a restaurant for a little dinner type thing with some friends…
it will be on a monday night and there might be anywhere from five people to 15 people [and i probably won’t know until everyone’s there]... so basically a place that’s big enough that you don’t need reservations and they won’t care how many people do/don’t show up. also, centrally located and not too expensive. oh – and of course the food should be super tasty.
i was originally going to do this at shanghai garden but there is a stupid baseball game at 7 that day and i worry that some friends might not be up for dealing with ID traffic/congestion.
any ideas?

I'm stumped

I’ve been watching the thread because I couldn’t think of any good ideas. Shanghai Garden is a good first bet; the Elysian is so easy, but perhaps not super tasty. Hmmm. The only other idea I had was Stellar Pizza in Georgetown – which again, is more comfortable than delicious.

i just ate at stella’s the other day and was thinking the same thing… someone was having their birthday party there – and it seemed like a great spot for that sort of thing. and maybe the outstanding jukebox can make up for not eating hand shaved noodles.
