Worth visiting!

The Society of the Divine Word had a mission house

Here, on the second day, I woke up after a nap, and in the heat of 104 degrees Fahrenheit, looked out, and wondered why was there a U.S. Post Office truck there. I had forgot that I was in the United States.

You're rude. Go to your room.

Maybe his point is, in the heat of the day, having not completely woke up yet, he was momentarilly confused as to where he was. It could have been that the surroundings of the neighbourhood were so Hispanic, that he was already “in his mind” in Mexico. After all, he was in training with missionaries.
Of course, I can’t say as I completely blame you for feeling confused yourself, as Tarik doesn’t explain this very well. But your reply is rude and jingoistic. You must be caught up in the current xenophobia stirred up by the anti-immigration movement and the war on terror. What other explanation for your behavior?
