You’re right, we’re killing (with kindness, but still…) some of the best destinations in the world, and there’s nothing better than the satisfaction of finding an out-of-the-way place that is interesting and pleasing.

I find joy very easily – in rural America, in big city America and now more recently in Palestine.

I love that attitude – it’s the hallmark (I think) of the born traveler. With it, almost any place on the planet has intrinsic value and interest… and without it, one might as well stay home and watch TV.
I’ve enjoyed reading your Holy Land entries, which demonstrate a clear-eyed, non-romantic, yet affectionate and enthusiastic view of the region.
