It was the perfect spring day; the trees were the greenest I’ve seen them in years -even for Massachusetts, the sky an inviting deep blue with dancing cumulus clouds, moving happily as if the wind tickled them as it slided through their skin. After a walk through Harvard Univ. and several shoppes, we had a scrumptious lunch at Au Bon Pain on Brattle St. As we munched on our earthy lunch, a Janis Joplin look and sing-alike echoed softly… quite possibly the most magical plant nursery I’ve seen exists next to the bakery. I wouldn’t doubt if several species of elves, fairies and mythical creatures inhabit this leafy locale with rustic brick walls which can barely be seen through the foliage.
