Is that a picture of Onsen in Beppu?
It looks really pink to me and I’ve never seen or experienced any onsen like that.
I am so curious.

It’s a picture of one of the volcanic lakes in Beppu, and I’m quite sure they have onsen that color there also.
Make sure you visit the “seven hells” the next time you visit Beppu. You’ll see many different colored springs and then some (like the crocodiles being kept warm in onsen water).

I had no idea there exsist many colored springs besides white and brown.
I never been to Beppu, I live in Japan though.
