Edinburgh International Festival

i lived in edinburgh for eleven months and the one month i had to miss was August. :( so of course i heard all sorts of wonderful things about the edinburgh festival (particularly the film festival) and have been dying to get back there ever since.

can’t go this year either, but i might aim for ‘07 or ‘08.

that's a good point

i’ll have to keep that in mind when i’m looking for a flat to rent for a month next year. :)

also, if you know of any people so inclined, or networks of such people, i’d love to hear about them. not that i can afford to spend an arm and a leg, but staying in a flat for the whole month would be much preferable to a hotel for a two weeks.

Just saw a leaflet in the library for edlets.

sweet

thank you!

when i lived there, i lived on East Newington Place. which i think is about eight blocks south of Holyrood Road. it was up the street from a morgue and looked out on a cemetary.

and yet i still want to go back. :D

I think I know the cemetary you mean. Didn’t know about the morgue.

That must be near the Commonwealth Pool.

You could also try looking at ed.general and edinburgh gumtree

yes the pool was just around the corner at the end of salisbury road.

it may not have been a morgue. there were no official signs persay. just a lot of bodies being moved in and out all day long. perhaps it was the drycleaning headquarters of the scottish mafia. and they just happened to drive hearsts.

thanks for the links. how did you know i was looking for a job in computers? ;)
