Contrary to popular belief, the NWT are NOT full of snow and ice year round. In the summer the place is gorgeous – full of tons of trees, some great lakes for fishing and camping and TONS of wildlife. Believe it or not, there are even waterfalls up here in this supposedly baren and ugly part of Canada! I would definitely recommend a visit there if you’re into any camping — just make sure you aren’t in a tent … there ARE bears!
