Ya staying in Orchard area is the most central..
Very interesting to know that even hotel has washing machine and dryer, because they usually would only offer that in the service apartments…Anyway most ppl here don’t own a dryer because it’s always shiny :D…And most of us stayed in HDB style of housing(like myself) where you can hang your clothes out like those in Italy ;)
Good recommendation on the Hotel Grand Central!
I like that the “tere 16” idea, thought was very good thinking, getting those kind of backpacker style of accomodation instead of hotels :)

not too sure if my uncle was provided with one because he stayed there for quite long (about 1 mth, iirc). also the room was seperated into sleep area and living area too.
