Torreón

Worth visiting!

Hanging with the locals  — 2 years ago

[picture: me, my friend dan and my boyfriend rolando at this nice place called San Pancho. we look grumpy because we lost at their bingo game. haha :) it’s my favorite place to eat and have drinks in Torreon so check it out!]

Torreon is nothing at all like what you would expect Mexico to be. It’s not trashy or “scary” in anyway, in fact, it’s quite the opposite.

There isn’t much to do (clubs are closed Sunday-Tuesday) but it’s great for a getaway some week. The food is incredible of course, but you should talk to the locals to get an idea of where to go. There are a couple of touristy things to do, but they’re not as numerous as say, Mexico City or Monterrey.

Most places also accept US dollars, but always check what rate their using. It should be about 10pesos to $1. Generally, they’re not out to rip you off, especially if you treat people with respect. It’s a great place to chill and unwind!
