Holland Village

Worth visiting!

This is where I live

I grew up in little India area, got pretty tired of it, and always wanted to live in another area for a different feel. I have always been attracted by the bohemia feeling that Holland Village can offer; charming neighbourhood and a chic suburban feeling ;) You can find almost everything here, right from tons of interesting shops, cafes, eateries, restaurants, yuppies’ bars(e.g Eski bar-extremely cold bar where you do need to wear winter wear inside), to almost every NEWSPAPER and magazine of the world can be found here.

Which place..

sounds like Toronto?.. Err…In this modern and progressive world, nothing is strange anymore..I mean we are wearing winter clothes inside, not outside right?? Unless you are mad or something, which I have personally seen a mad man in Stockholm running around in the middle of winter with his bermudas short :) ...I was so shocked to see that scene but it seems that the locals are quite used to seeing him already and he has even appeared on e newspaper before :) I really have no idea how he managed to wear no clothes when I had my 4 layers of thick clothes on :P

Why Leeds? Well, I have at least 2 friends who’s been there before, one is a Swedish and e other one is a Singaporean gal who went to school there before :) I heard they have a very romantic castle, which could potentially be my ideal place to have my future wedding there ;)

singapore gal

I sure will check out your recommendation if I ever get to go there :)

Which place sounds like Toronto?? Singapore?? No, it’s very different..Though both cities are equally diverse but Singapore is much more vibrant and updated with the latest things though..I went to high school in Toronto before and so I will know :)

:)

I actually don’t remember much things about Toronto especially on the areas since I haven’t been back for at least more than 12 yrs already :) But yes, if you talked about Kensington Market, probably quite similar, and I still remember their longest street ever was younge street right? The Chinatown in Toronoto is very cool..probably the biggest one in the world :)

That must be lovely to live near the ruins..I like old ancient stuff like the castles..I generally like things that are Europeans and Bohemian :)

No I don’t have any friends there(Leeds), the Singaporean gal is back to Singapore already and she’s on this 43 places too… And the Swedish friend was there for business only :)

Singapore is like the gateway to many asia and western countries…it’s located in an area whereby we are surrounded by all the very interesting countries :)

Sounds like you’re keen to visit, but I don’t see Singapore on you list? :P

(No cheers now to cheer you, will cheer you later :))

Ok :)

Saw that now, thanks :) It’s so small because it’s one of the smallest country in the world.

Vietnam is not expensive though, in fact all S.E.A is cheap to visit and live in (except Singapore)..The 3 countries that are expensive to live in Asia are Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore..The good thing about living here is we get to go to so many countries in the region and with so many cheap budget airlines flying out every hourly :)

I supposed you are male?
