Worth visiting!

Torta di ricotta e visciole

This is one of the things I miss the most when I’m not in Rome. And I couldn’t find anything similar to this pie (ricotta and sour cherries jam pie) anywhere else than in this little pastry shop in the middle of the Jewish Ghetto. Suffice to say that I detest cherries.

Yum!

So where exactly is this place? It sounds really good! I love checking out all the pastry shops in Rome, I just wish I had the time/money/metabolism to try everything I see!

Via del Portico d'Ottavia

I don’t remember the number, but it’s just on the corner facing the “scuola media” Foscolo. There’s a souvenir shop next displaying so many Israel flags that you can’t go wrong ;)
Don’t get fooled by the appearance: the crust seems always overcooked at best, but miraculously enough it is NOT!
Seems like their cornetti are to die for too, but I never had them, since I’m a pie addicted…

PS If you speak a little Italian and the place isn’t packed try to start a little conversation with the women working there… you will have a sample of real romanity!

Israeli flags...got it...

Parlo solo un po d’italiano, non parlo bene, ma tento. Grazie!
