Twine by AlwaysDreaming
Cawker City, KS. no place like it in the world. go! and make sure you meet the “keeper of the twine”. If you are really lucky, you’ll get to add more twine to the ball, making it even bigger!

Should I bring my own twine, just in case – or is there a shop nearby where I can buy it?
Man, now I REALLY want to go there!

I’m sure you could bring your own twine and add it on, but I’m not sure if thats kosher with the keeper. I was with a huge group of cyclists when I visited and we doubled the town population for the day. So, the keeper of the twine rushed out to greet us and give us the history, and then offered twine to us to add onto it. I’m not sure if it was a ceremonious thing, or if she would flip if someone added a different kind of twine? I’m sure not. We biked it around the ball, ran it around, tied ourselves into it for a few spins. Some good times, the keeper loved it, took pictures. You could definitely scout her out, I’m sure she’s not hard to find. She gave us a business card even. We stayed there for an hour before heading on our way. But not before purchasing the souvenior t-shirt.
