R8 re-bagged the San Diego airport early this afternoon. He slipped through the baggage claim area completely incognito and boarded a rental car shuttle.

"It was like the Beatles arriving ...

at Kennedy all over again." LOL three times ! ! !

I was too young to attend the Beatles’ arrival at SEATAC airport & feel soooo cheated. R8 I have a GREAT idea ! The next time you bag SEATAC, announce it to 43People and then We can ALL meetup with you! You & I will get to complete our goal to meet each other! I’m going to add CARM as well~ I’d like to meet her and her hubby. I wonder if she ever got to see the Beatles? ?Gosh, I’m excited now :- )

I got a good chuckle out of that

Yes, I could see it now, AGAMUM and Carm screaming their heads off as Mrs. viii and I pick up our suitcases at SEATAC baggage claim. :-)

If AGADAD and Walter showed up the crowd would be almost unmanagable, wouldn’t it? They’d have to bring out the riot police and everything.

Actually, Mrs. viii is originally from Spanaway, down in the Tacoma area. She doesn’t have much family in that area anymore, but she does manage to drag me up there to go to a class reunion or some other such silliness once every few years.

There’s nothing for the Puget Sound area on the calendar right now, so I would estimate the next visit up there is 2-3 years into the future.

But of course

How silly of me to think that you wouldn’t travel to Seattle just to be part of the joyous throng.

Beatles Arrival

Alas, I’m afraid I was also a bit too young to see the Beatles. Let’s see, I would have been 5. I recall my mother would get mad every time I left my sandbox to head to the next door neighbors’ house to play. Imagine if she thought I was headed to Seattle! Trust me, she was NOT a Beatles fan. Haha.

I sure remember hearing about it in the past tense though, Beatles fishing out the windows of the Edgewater and all. You enticed me to read more about their visit to Seattle over here. Fun stuff!

So you're just a kid!

I was already 6 when they arrived. No wonder you look so much younger than I do.

I think you said it best...

“Trust not your eyes, they can deceive you.” Believe me I am very discriminating about posting any photos of myself. I think the day I took the avatar photo I must’ve taken about 25 shots before I found one I thought was flattering enough to post. Also, I think that picture is at least a year old so yes, I was a baby there. :)

But consider this...

MY avatar photo is even older. Check the hair color just in case you haven’t noticed.

Happy Memories

As MamaKitty suddenly finds seniority an advantage

My dad took my older sister and me to see the Beatles when I was 10 years old! Just the beginning of my concert going adventures. We went to the 1966 concert, featured on this poster.

What Mama would do for a reprint of that poster!

Was he a big spender?

So, did your dad only spring for the $3.00 tickets, or did he go all out and pay $5.50 each?

You lucky!

What an awesome memory for you. I can’t even imagine what that was like. What a cool thing for your dad to do for you and your sister.
