Why I want to go to this place  — 1 year ago

Henry’s mom’s 70th birthday is this year. So, we are going to go to NYC in May. I can’t wait. This might mean I won’t be able to do my Atlanta/Scottsboro trip in April, nor my Miami trip in May.

My husband’s happiness is far more important. He hasn’t seen most of his family for about 8 yrs and it’s negatively impacting him.

How Are Things Now?

Oh dear, I cheered your very positive February entry before getting down to June. I hope that things are well with you now. My parents just went through a divorce (another woman as well), and I would never wish that on anyone else.

Of course, if you’ve never been to NYC, I would still highly recommend that you go and treat yourself to all the best it has to offer – you deserve it! :)

Better

Things are better. The kids and I never went to NYC, but we would like to someday. His mom loves me, the kids very much and thinks her son is a total jerk, a**hole for what he’s done.

My ex took his girlfriend to meet his whole family to NYC. What an idiot. He’s not even on the lease of his apartment because his credit is so bad. He’s not talking to his mom because his mom was rude to his girlfriend, not considering her feelings.

His mom stood up for me and said I had feelings when he brought his stupid girlfriend to my home. She said until his girlfriend apologizes to me for her stupidity for this, she (my ex’s mom) will not apologize to her.

He’s so messed up. Anyway, as you can tell from this post, I’m not totally over the whole thing. It’ll take awhile.

Our marriage was dissolved at the end of Jun’08, a little more than a year after he abandoned us. Life has been a huge challenge, but we take one day at a time.

Thank you for your kind words.

Bless you,
Doris
