Worth visiting!

Richmond Hill

Richmond Hill is a nice quaint town (though the population’s actually rather high) which Yonge street runs right through so you can take the Go Bus and subway south to Toronto, though it takes a heck of a long time to get there. There’s a public library right on major mack so you can attend there, I actually work there.

At around Elgin Mills and Yonge more developement is happening, new houses and stuff, and the capital High School (RHHS, I used to attend) was rebuilt 5 years ago with superb technology. In fact, in 2000 it was rated the #1 non-private school in Ontario! Including private schools it ranks #4. This ranking is likely outdated.

There is also a Go Bus Station on Newkirk and Major Mack, you can take that to and from Toronto as well. I’ve never used it, which is actually sort of silly, because it’d probably be faster… so easy to ignore.

It’s also the birthplace of Elvis Stojko, Canadian Olympic Gold winning figure skater! Yay!

And Richmond Hill has THE BEST sushi restaurants. Many that offer fresh to order, all you can eat.

I always thought I’d like sushi but I bought some in these packs from the supermarket and they weren’t very good. I have seen that restaurant but never gone in, should try it sometime, thanks.
