Worth visiting!

How this place changed my life

I particularly like a city nearby Kagoshima, called Ichiki Kushikino. I have a lot of friends there and I’d like to live there someday. The people in Kushikino are very friendly and because of my visit there I realized that I want to go to Japan and teach English there someday.

Hi Juuleeya

I just realized you were the host sister of Aya. I’m Mr. White, the teacher at NMCHS who kind of looked after her since February. I’ve just been looking at the map of Japan, trying to figure out where the typhoon was heading (my wife is Japanese and right now is in Fukuoka), to see if Aya or my wife were in danger, and I happened to come across this site and saw your comment. When I saw that you are from Salinas I put 1 and 1 together. So, tell me, is Kushikino really a nice place to live? When I retire, my wife and I plan to live in Japan. She has a house near Fukuoka, but we don’t necessarily want to live there. But, she doesn’t like little towns either, but I do. I did email Aya the other day (6/30/07) to see if she was okay from the previous typhoon, and she was.

Hello Mr. White

That’s funny that you found me here.

Thanks for looking out for Aya when we needed a new representative.

Kushikino is a very nice, quiet town with a lot of very friendly people. It’s quite small town, though, so maybe I’d recommend Kagoshima (a nearby city). While it is a city with big buildings, it’s quite a bit smaller than the bigger cities (Tokyo, Osaka, etc.) and it’s in an area (Kagoshima prefecture) that is considered to be a more rural area.
