Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

I don’t know why everyone is being so hard on the food here.

It’s diner food, and honestly, it’s damn good diner food. House of Pies is the first place I come when I get home from school, and I always order one of three things: a tuna melt, which is served on their homemade herb bread; fish and chips, which are beer battered, or blueberry pancakes, which are amazing, and available at whatever hour you might want them.

Of course, the pies are amazing, which is why they probably tend to overshadow the decent food.

Try the Bayou Goo:

A pecan crust with a layer of sweet cream cheese, then a layer of vanilla custard swirled with chocolate chunks and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Yum!

yES, The ‘GOO’ [as I affectionately call it] is the main staple of all H.O.P.ilites; or, it should be. The stuf is…no pun intended…’GOOOOOO’D :))!!! I’ve ben going to H.O.P. for a long time now and it is still as exciting now as it was then. Totally, you called it Emily; the HOP rocks it ‘round 2am. Whoa, almost time for breakfast!!! Gotta ‘GOOOOOOO’ :))!!!

In the meantime, have some RedBull ‘Hot Wings’ I made; from scratch…shaped it, sanded it, glossed it; the whole trip

Crazy Wings :)))

Yeah, I made them out of ‘redBull’ cans for last year’s ‘Art of the Can’ exhibition that is sponsored annually in various cities. Last year, the event took place in Weisman Museum at University of Minnesota. I made a whole ‘plate’ of ‘em :pppp
