amazing tile work

I love the tile work in this station. I hope they never change it.

I like it too

I’m a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, so the first time that I passed through Baker Street Station I was really taken by the tile work.

I wonder if that tile is available for purchase anywhere. It would be fun to install it in bathroom or some other other room in the house.

true,

did you get out to the Sherlock Holmes Museum/House? I absolutely loved it and got a lot of cool pictures there. They let you take your picture out in front with hats on or pipe in your mouth. Here’s Mark’s pic there!

I've Been There Too

I took my wife to London for the first time in 1998. We stopped by the Sherlock Holmes Museum. We wandered around in the gift shop and bought a few items there. I had thought to go into the museum. Our trip was sort of serendipidous and unplanned, so money was a little bit tight. We looked at the price of museum admission. We talked about how Sherlock Holmes was actually a fictitious character, so there would be no real artifacts from him. Needless to say, we talked ourselves out of going.

A few years later, I was back there with a friend. Same situation, looking in the gift shop, etc. My friend knew that I really liked Sherlock Holmes and said, “Let’s just go in.”

We went in and I really enjoyed it. I have an entry and some pictures posted of it on 43P.

neat!

I haven’t tried to add it to my list of places been to yet but when I do I’ll have to search for your entries and make one too. I have so many places I’ve been that I’d like to document on here but time constraints ya know :-P I just add them as I think of them.

Of all the luck

So Dustin Hoffman just happened to be there too? ;-)

And if you look very carefully you can also see the ghost of Sissy.

lmao, yeah...

let’s just say he’s a permanent resident! But, I wish he had been there the same time as me… then I wouldn’t have to take a pic of the pic of him on the wall in the giftshop :-P
