Worth visiting!

One Too Many -er's

My son and I made a brief visit to Kemmerer. In other words, we stopped here for lunch. I found this place.

I normally like to try eating at a place that has a bit of “local color.” However this place was just a tad too colorful for me. The sign was also a bit disquieting to me. Something about the drive-in/feed store combination just didn’t lure me in. In breaking with the spirit of adventure we opted to eat at Pizza Hut.

Kemmerer’s big claim to fame is that it is the home of the origingal JC Penney’s store. The building is still standing.

Are there any direct flights from Akron to Kemmerer?

If so, I could kill two birds with one stone….

Now, after reading your entry, the inside of my eyelids are looking better and better.
Is there anything else you remember about Kemmerer? Some Kemmerer memories, as it were? Did you take many pictures with your camera in Kemmerer? Isnt Kemmerer where the famous female lemmings were? (you tell me because I cant seem to remember her (that lemming in Kemmerer))

Sorry, No More Pictures

That was the only picture of Kemmerer that I have. I do have some pictures taken at nearby Fossil Butte Nat’l Monument. I am planning to post those one of these next few days.
