This is a great park because it has a lot of benches, a fountain, grassy hills on which to sit, and is located only a few blocks from our office in the center of Capitol Hill. In the short time it’s been open, I’ve gone about half a dozen times and each time find a variety of people (some with dogs, some with babies, some with laptops, some with soccer balls), all hanging out together and enjoying the city. There’s a little bit of uncertainty about whether or not a certain demographic will “claim” the park, but I hope it continues to be a comfortable place for everyone: hippies, yuppies, indie rockers, hipsters, and everything in between and around.
