How can I get there? by Simone Villas Boas

Pitcairn is a little piece of rock in the middle of nowhere. There are just 46 people living there. All of them are descendent of the Bounty mutineers and beautiful Tahitian women. The Pitcairn’s history is a kind of dream, a escape dream. When everything goes wrong, I just say I’m leaving all behind and moving to Pitcairn. It’s just a joke because I don’t know how to get there! I mean… do I take a airplane to Oakland and get a boat to the island? Uhm…

First of all, decide if you do want to go

And now, if you still want to go, it can be arranged.

First, you might consider joining the Navy.

Second, find out what anthropological and other academic teams, such as those which may have marine biologists, geologists, naturalists, might be going there. Use your search engines, write to universities, check with travel agents.

Pitcairn is a real place.
