Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place  — 2 years ago

I felt at home and knew that it was a good choice for my PhD. Sure the geese can be nasty, and some of the architecture is strange, and it’s not really a party place—it’s a good fit for me (program-wise) and I found the people on campus to be down-to-earth.

Student Life Centre

Worth visiting!

Untitled  — 2 years ago

If nothing else, this building has the virtue of being open 24/7 all year. This means there is always a place to get a snack, bus tickets, or directions. It also houses a Tim Horton’s that is theoretically open 24/7, but not in practice. Brubaker’s serves standard Food Services fare, which isn’t worth it. But, the dining area is nice with large windows. There are also study rooms. The basement houses the used bookstore, a pharmacy, a computer shop, a hair salon, and a CIBC.

I live in the Psychology department. The building is strange, and it takes a while to figure out. There are cool ‘70s era wall-hangings everywhere, and the rumour is that the building was made to resemble the human brain.

If you’re into ugly and/or strange architecture, then go for it. The goslings are cute in the summer, but once they grow up they get pretty nasty. Good school, just ugly.

Well, it’s ugly and not really a place to visit. It serves the purpose of selling books and UW wear.

Peter Russell Rock Garden

It’s a snug little place on campus. Yes, rocks, but there are benches in shady areas. It’s small, though.

definitely not a place I’d visit just for the fun of it.
