England Wanderlust

Touristy. But still pretty awesome to hang in the pump room like I’m out of an Austen novel.

Fabulous! I only wish that you could get closer to such an amazing mystery like Stonehenge. But it’s well worth the trip to see it in person and contemplate about what it could mean.

AMAZING but expensive!

Beautiful place!
I climbed and climbed up to the Whispering part, sat down to rest. My friends and I are having a good time, whispering to see how it works. We were yelled at by the lady “attending” the Whisper Room. She said it was called the Whisper Room, not the Whistle Room.. haha. I was whistling because someone else was. A little grouchy I say, but yes maybe I shouldnt have done it. We did get a little immature and whisper funny things. Sorry Lady!! :)

I have wanted to go to this place my whole life. When I arrived, I was in awe, but was so terribly disapointed. I couldn’t go up and touch the stones. I had heard that it was roped off, but didn’t think it would take away from it. I came all the way from the States~ Anyway, it was interesting, and fun to listen to this lady talk about being a witch.

Let me tell you.. it smells so bad near the Peter Pan statue. Awful smell, but I think its the bushes nearby. Swans, locals playing with dogs, great place. I liked it alot. We ate at a little cafe by the water, it was expensive, like 11 pounds to eat, but nice. My friend kept getting mad because the birds were trying to eat her lunch! haha . Good place to go.

I did a semester abroad at the American College in London. I was here before I was ever in New York. I fell in love with it! I went back in 2000 with my girlfriend. And I wish I could go back again! Jolly good times!

My mom and I stopped here on our tour of England, Scotland and Wales. It was interesting. And we were able to get up close!

Having paid about £7 to get there from Salisbury I didn’t expect to pay another £6 to get in to the site! When I did however I was disappointed to find that you really couldn’t get much closer than you could from the road.

That said the stones are impressive but I think the best tip is to wait until midsummer and get in for free and you can also get up close to the stones

I moved down to bath to live with my boyfriend (now an ex).
When I left him I went back home to mid wales but i still miss living in bath absolutely brilliant place im definitely moving back there in the future.
