Kansas City Wanderlust

After flying in from DFW it was a huge relief to not land at a monster airport. This one is great!

The BBQ is amazing and the Cheesy Corn Casserole is simply the best!

Slept in one of the huge shuttlecocks on the museum lawn one night, just so I could tell people I did it.

Did a short stint at the Conservatory of Music…

This is a great airport for the midwest because the prices are really low compared to other airports in the general area. It’s no feat of architecture or engineering… nothing that I would go out of my way to see, but don’t rule it out as a way to travel!

I visited the Steamboat Arabia Museum many years ago when I was a kid (9 – 11 years of age?!) and remember being absolutely fascinated. If it held my interest at that age… it’s gotta be pretty awesome! I still remember some of the things they had set up. They found a bottle of cologne/parfume and sent it to be chemically analyzed and then reproduced it. How cool is that? You could have cologne from the 1800’s!

Royals baseball games are always fun as long as you don’t expect to see them win at home. I went to the Royals/Cardinals game last year and there was more red then blue in the stands.

I go to school here for pre-dental…i love the city, umkc is another story.
