Book, if you get the chance. This is a tiny little restaurant in Norrebro that serves South American, Indonesian, Carribean fusion and it is HEAVENLY and not as expensive as most of the restuarants in Copenhagen…

I’m told that the people of Copenhagen were so happy with reports showing that their harbour water was very clean that they decided to build a structure to allow people to swim in it. It’s not nearly as cold as I thought it would be, and a lot of fun.

Shakespeare used this castle as the setting for his play Hamlet.

Chris and I are thinking of having a winter holiday here after my exams. I very much doubt I will have any holiday leave left to take, but I have resolved to sort it out somehow! The plan is to fly in to Malmo (in Sweden), and take a hovercraft (!!!) across to Copenhagen.
A perfect excuse to buy a new winter coat I think…

The first thing I did when I got to Copenhagen was to go to the tourist information office and ask if they had any information about Kierkegaard.
“Ah, Kierkegaard,” the clerk repeated, correcting my pronunciation. She headed over to some shelves, and to my delight began pulling off brochure after brochure. I was very pleased. But when she came back, I found her handing me a bundle of guides to the city’s cemeteries.
“Kierkegaard” (or “Kirkegård,” as it seems to be spelled these days) means “cemetery,” or literally, “churchyard.” Which really isn’t so inappropriate a moniker for the melancholy dane that I had in mind.
“Søren Kierkegaard,” I clarified.
She shook her head. “You’ll have to go to the library for that.”
Eventually I found a guide, an Irish expat, who took me to Søren’s grave. He was buried not too far from Regine. I left flowers on both of their graves.
I visited Assistens Kirkegård in 1997. I heard a rumor that Regine’s gravestone was stolen in 2000.

If you like music and like meeting nice people, the Roskilde Festival is the place to be. It’s a festival like no other. Very nice environment and totally relaxed.
