I stayed in Reno and drove to South Lake Tahoe—amazing and beautiful country! It is so pristine.

I didn’t care much for the casinos, but they have a Hard Rock, Cabo Wabo, and some excellent restuarants.

I can also recommend Virginia City (Nevada) and some of the smaller cities outside of Reno/Tahoe. There’s a lot of history around that area, WAshoe Indians and stories of gold mining. Nearly every place we went to outside of Nevada had ghost stories about Saloons that were haunted—Buckets Of Blood is a big one.

It really is a piece of America that is worth the time and effort to see.

By the way, don’t know when you’re planning on going but remember that winter starts early and chains area a must have. Being from Florida myself, that was all new to me!
