I talked to a friend who lives near Ostendstrasse/Uhlandstrasse, and she says that its okay to stay there for a few days, but the area isn’t that charming or nice (the buildings are sort of run-down). It’s not dangerous there, though (not many drugs dealers or criminal activities).
