hmmm, i would have to say it depends on “where” you would plan to be, if your looking to retire, i would suggest something by Rivendell, if you plan on moving with kids and stuff, i would say NW okc, otherwise i would say the city is like most cities, it has its ups ands downs, so yeah…..

Thanks for the info. I have been looking on realtor.com for houses in OK City and surrounding areas (~225k) and I have noticed that most of the houses are brown, one story (ranch style) homes. Is there a particular reason for this or is it just a coincidence that the only houses for sale right now are brown ranches? I was thinking that maybe it has something to do with tornadoes…? I also noticed that most of the yards are brown…is it that dry in Oklahoma?
In terms of what type of neighborhood I would be looking for: upper middle class in the 225k range, within 30mins of the city, and generally clean and family friendly.
