la jolla is a nice, there are reefs for kayaking as well as a bunch of seals if you want to hear/see them. the seals are super noisy, especially in the morning. plus you can smell them. i thought it was sort of nice, but people who live there get tired of it fast.

ive also heard that solana beach is nice, but have never been there myself.

otherwise in the city of san diego, coronado beach is nice, its where a lot of tourists go, but its great. plus theres the san diego bay bridge which is an experience itself to drive over. plus its pretty to see from the shores.
