I’ve never felt unsafe at night in Paris any of the many times I’ve traveled there alone. You simply need to apply the rules of being alone in any major city to Paris. That is, you travel only populated streets at night. If that’s not possible, you take cabs to your destinations.

The only place that I say you must absolutely avoid at night is the river bank.

What to do at night? I love live music, so I recommend seeing shows.
