Rocky Mountain NP is gorgeous, but still pretty COLD this time of year, and there is pretty much NO oxygen up at that altitude. With that in mind, if you still want to go, then do. It is lovely. However, a trip to Glenwood Springs would be better in my opinion… worlds largest geothermically heated pool… oh how I miss it! If you are arriving in Denver, it’s about a 3 hour drive, give or take depending on the weather. Beautiful area, though. Do an online search and check it out. Glenwood Springs Colorado. If you go all the way to the Western Slope, you could go to The Colorado National Monument, then hop over to Utah for Moab and Arches National Park.
