Whirlwind tour. It’s been about 6 years since I was in Mpls. I have lived in both Mpls and Saint Paul. Since I don’t know what you are into I will recommend some general things that I think are fun.
Fun Bar/ bowling
Check out Bryant Lake Bowl, great food, drinks and bowling if you like.
Walker Art Center
Lake CAlhoun (and surrounding lakes)
start at Calhoun and rent blades, a bike or a canoe. Travel around the connected lakes. It’s beautiful and fun!
Wedge Co-op
Tao Foods
Two health food oriented places that I love to visit! Great food!
Hair Police on Lake Street
Get a mohawk and dye your hair purple, finish it off with a tattoo and a piercing….or not!
Visit Dinkytown (college area) and the U of M campus.
I grew up in Saint Paul, it’s quieter and calmer than Mpls….I think it’s beautiful but… you only have 2 days.
Have fun!!! If I knew what you were into I could tailor my suggestions.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I’ll definitely check out Hell’s Kitchen. I’m looking for any great spots (like what you stated) that tourists don’t necessary go to or that are touristy for a good reason. Also tasty cultural places to eat. :)
